My name is Can Gürkök and I am currently based in Turkey. I have completed my final year in Gazi University (Ankara) where I studied Gastronomy in Culinary Arts. I will be moving to Beijing on a student visa this August.

Throughout my time as a student, I have been actively working in various fields in the tourism sector to develop and perfect my skills in the industry. To date, I have worked as a chef, a tour guide, a salesman, and even assisted in setting up a new cafe.

I am currently working as a Passenger Relations Officer with Turkish Airlines. Due to my good performance, I am now leading my team in the Miles & Smiles department, where we address clients' queries about our loyalty programme.

Last summer, I spent 4 months working in Barcelona, Spain, where I took up several roles in a fine-dining restaurant in the centre of the city. I assisted the chefs in many stations within the kitchen and also held duties pertaining to guest relations. I have attached a letter of recommendation from my supervisor there, for your kind reference.

In addition to my experiences in the kitchen, I have all worked in various tourist locations in Turkey, as well as Brazil. I believe that I have a very persuasive and approachable stance, thus making me an ideal candidate for your job. Moreover, I have a very strong command of English, which is crucial in the tourism industry. A brief scan of my resume will highlight the rich experiences I have in multiple tourism sectors, something I feel will benefit your company very much.
